Operating regulations

The port operating regulations determine the conditions for the allocation and occupation of spaces issued by the CCI, as well as those relating to the use of the equipment of Port Joinville.

Rentals are issued by the CCI under the regime of temporary occupation of public property. Consequently, the user cannot, under any circumstances, claim the provisions on commercial property or any other regulation likely to confer a right to occupation and maintenance in the premises.

The authorization is neither transferable nor assignable, except with the express authorization of the CCI. It cannot be pledged and, more generally, cannot be the subject of any operation relating to real rights.

Port Police Regulations

The police regulations present the main safety rules to be observed in the port on the land and on the granted quays.

Article 4 : The maximum speed of vessels in the passes, access channels, outer harbors, and basins is set at 4 knots

Article 41 : the exit of vessels from the marina is regulated by lights installed on the port side when exiting:

  • 2 fixed green lights above a fixed white light: exit authorized

  • 3 fixed red lights: exit prohibited

The operating period of the lights is set from May 1 to August 31 within a time slot between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm. The exit prohibition is linked to the presence of a vessel with an overall length greater than 25m moving in the channel.

The captains of these vessels must notify the marina's harbor master's office no later than 5 minutes before entering the channel and before leaving the berth.

Article 5 : Except in cases of absolute necessity resulting from immediate danger, it is forbidden to anchor in the passes, access channels, and, generally, in all port waters not provided for this purpose.
